moment, and then he leans over the bed, checking Jack's pulse. Definitely
tachycardia. Possibly, it would pass, but he also can't stand the sight of
Jack so vulnerable, so visibly scared. He hasn't seen him like this since
Diane died. He can't just walk away and leave him.
"Jack," he says again but, this time, he drops down into a crouch next to
the bed, reaching out with one hand to.shake Jack's shoulder. "Brother.
